Medieval Festival at Trakai Peninsula Castle 2017

12.00 The festival participants’ parade starts at the tourist observation ground opposite the Island Castle).
12.20 Official opening of the festival.
12.30–21.00 Presentations of ancient crafts. Educational sessions: crafts, music, and military tradition. Lectures.           
12.30–13.00 Medieval music and dance by Ambera and Saltus Gladii (Kaunas).
12.30–13.00 Guided tour through the Peninsula Castle.
13.00–13.30 Presentation of medieval knight fighting by Viduramžių pasiuntiniai (Kaunas).

20.10–20.30 A pageant based on a 14th-century duel used to settle a legal dispute. By the Sword Mastery School (Vilnius).

21.00–21.30 The great fight: the assault of the castle with participation of all military clubs.
21.30–22.20 Folk rock concert by Andaja (Varėna).

22.50 On the occasion of the festival’s anniversary: twenty volleys of burning arrows by Strėlė (Vilnius).

15.40–16.20 Presentation of the military units of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Teutonic Order at the turn of the 15th century. Duels and battles with participation of Bielyj Tur (Belarus), Komturia-Riga (Latvia), Comturia-Winda (Latvia), Vilkatlakai (Vilnius), Hospitallers (Vilnius), Varingis (Vilnius), and KKIK (Kaunas).
16.20–17.00 Archaic music by Ugniavijas (Vilnius).
17.00 Closure of the festival.
